Description

Alternator belt for the Solé Diesel Mini 33, Mini 34, Mini 44 and Mini 55 and the Vetus M4.15 and M4.17. This is the belt that drives both the alternator and the coolant pump on these engines — the only V-belt fitted to these blocks.

The size AVX10x975 is the exact same belt that Solé Diesel specifies in their parts catalog as SPZX 962: it is one and the same belt, simply listed by its outside length (975 mm La) instead of its pitch length (962 mm Lw). Raw-edge, cogged design for smooth operation over small alternator pulleys and high resistance to the high RPMs of a marine diesel engine.

Please note: check your alternator first

On these engines, the alternator determines the belt length, not the engine block. This belt is intended for the standard 12V / 50A alternator (and for Solé, also the 24V/28V-55A version of the Mini 44 V4).

• If your engine is equipped with a heavier 95A or 120A alternator, a longer belt is required — for Solé, this is part number 17021028 (SPZX 987).
• For a Vetus with an 85A, 95A or 110A alternator , the same applies: this version uses STM7643 (AVX10x988) or, from production date 06-2009 onwards, STM9857 or STM9858.

In doubt? Check the alternator nameplate or measure your old belt before ordering. The raw water pump on these engines is gear-driven and therefore not operated by this belt.
