This heavy duty 1.7 kW version (OE 129242-77010) and our standard 1.4 kW starter motor (OE 129608-77010) fit the same engines and are mutually interchangeable — both have 11 teeth. Choose the heavy duty version for hard-starting engines or longer cable runs. When in doubt, check the number of teeth on the pinion of your old starter motor.
